Thanks to everyone who helped with Service Day in February. Annette Crain and Karlene Riggs organized two wonderful sewing service projects:
We sewed over 20 lap quilts for the Provo Canyon School in Springville. These quilts will be tied and loved by children between the ages of 8 and 14 who have behavioral problems. They live away from their families due to their disabilities. These homemade quilts are greatly appreciated.
We also sewed dozens of pillows for women who have had breast cancer surgeries. Again, these handmade items will be appreciated by the recipients.
You are saints for taking the time to show those children you care about them. That facility just got sued again (they went bankrupt 5-6 years ago) for abusing some of the children, so those children need every bit of support and hope from the outside world they can get.
