Block of the Month

Francine Berrett, our President Elect has put together this darling block of the month quilt entitled "LOVE AT HOME AND IN THE SEASONS" for 2010. It will be a fun combination of applique and piecing. Francine did hers with only fabric that was on hand in her sewing room. Each month the "Patchwords" will have the pattern for her design. Thank you, Francine!

April Block of the Month

Below are examples of April's block of the month, Courthouse Steps.
In the finished quilt they may be in a row.
The last picture is Liz's creation with her bonus block.  I love the frame and appliqued flower.

Block of the Month 2009 "Lincoln Bicentennial Quilt"

To commemorate the 200th birthday of Abraham Lincoln Liz Laney has decided to do a "Lincoln Quilt" for our Block of the Month.
Here is a picture of Iva Mae showing some of Liz's finished log cabin blocks.
You can make one too!
Consult your Patchwords for patterns and inspiration.
On a side note, the resemblance between Liz and Iva is uncanny.
