Rita Leckie and Annie's Calendar Quilt

Rita Leckie showed a beautiful red and white quilt top called Annie's Calendar Quilt.

Rita also showed a second quilt done in redwork with a girl sewing a button on a boy's shirt.

Rita's third quilt was Redwork Cats, a round robin project she did with a quilt group in Seattle. She did the center blocks, and the rest of the group added borders.

Jill Cox made an eagle quilt for a neighbor getting his Eagle Scout badge called Eagle Pride.

Marilyn Steele and her quilt Don't Fence Me In

Marilyn Steele made a beautiful black, red, white quilt with fussy cut cowboy scenes. She calls it Don't Fence Me In. It is made for her husband who was a cowboy for most of his life and was on the BYU Rodeo team. She will give the quilt to him to celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary this year.

Annette Ghiz showed her Beach Quilt she had brought for the hospitality table. She'd seen a similar quilt in the Springville Quilt Show many years ago. Every time she looks at her quilt, it reminds her of the friend she went to see the show with who has since passed away and that this is now the 47th year of her whole family going to the California beach together.

Linda Roskelley showed a quilt made with a pattern from the Missouri Star Quilt Company. She calls it called Stars and Stripes and she quilted it on her longarm machine.

Linda showed a second quilt made with a pattern from the Missouri Star Quilt Company, called Star Burst It's made with quick pieced triangles.

The third quilt Linda showed was made by her niece, who loves to do humanitarian projects. It's a churn dash block, and it uses monkey fabric, so she called it Monkey Wrench.

Janice Walker showed her baby quilt Sunbonnet Sue Thru The Year, made with 30's fabric. She made it for her soon-to be born granddaughter.

Janice also shared another baby quilt called Pinwheels that was made to match the twin-sized quilt she shared with us last month.

Genevieve Palmer showed her quilt Buggy Barn Crazy Stars with a striped border she designed herself.

Kris Day showed a beautiful Cathedral Windows quilt made out of denim and colorful fabrics for the gradient challenge this year.

Francine Berrett showed her quilt, Flaura's Red Trailer House. She said it was fun to do and only took a couple of days.

Francine Berrett's second quilt is an original pattern she calls Plaids, Polka Dots, and Posies. It is made with hourglass blocks and appliquéd posies. She has taught it at Panguitch before, and she is planning to teach it at Quilt Fest this year.

Gloria Hartley showed a beautiful green and yellow quilt that was a mystery quilt last year at Quilt Fest.

Gloria's second quilt was a yellow, blue, green, and white quilt.

Gloria's third quilt is a Wonky Irish Chain pattern that was taught at Quilt Fest in 2016 by Melissa Corry. It's a really simple quilt to do that works up very fast and can be done in a weekend. 

June Program—Margie Ullery, Ribbon Candy Quilt Company

Margie Ullery, owner of Ribbon Candy Quilt Company, was our presenter at our June meeting. She shared the story of how she began her company and showed us the numerous quilts that she has designed over the years. Although she does have some pieced quilts, her signature Seasonal Skinnies patterns use fusible appliqué and are fast, fun and done.

This cheery table topper set, Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah, is made for summer fun! It's easy and fast to piece. The appliqué is done with wool, but can be made with cotton instead. 

This is another wool project, Forget Me Nots. It was made for Alaskan cruise she was asked to teach on for Quiltmaker magazine.

Rough and Tumble best describes all little boys and what they like to do. This appliqué wall hanging is the perfect match for them. 

This cute little appliqué wall hanging, Happily Ever After, is great for all those little girls in our lives. The images in this quilt will inspire creativity in their young minds as they play. 

Twist & Turn is a fat quarter friendly quilt that is easy and fast to make. The pattern comes with two sizes: throw and twin. This quilt is great quilt for quilters of all levels. You can make it for a girl, boy or out of holiday fabrics, it all looks great.

Chatterbox is a popular quilt that's great for large– to medium-scale prints and that works in any color way. For some fun, fussy cut your fabrics to fit the blocks size.

Sugar Pine Meadow is a 2-piece quilt set with a table topper and a throw. It combines simple pieced blocks and fusible appliqué and goes together quickly.

Sugar Pine Ridge is the matching twin-size quilt to Sugar Pine Meadow. It combines simple star blocks and easy checkerboard blocks and makes for a fun and new look for a cabin quilt. 

Delight is a fun quilt to make that's great in any color combination and goes goes together fast. The stems are made of rick rack or gathered trim.

Old Glory was one of Margie's first quilts that appeared in the July/August 2012 issue of Quiltmaker magazine. 

The Rhapsody pattern includes 3 sizes of quilts: throw, Queen, and King. This pattern is fat quarter friendly and easy to make and great in any color way.

Extreme is a great quilt for all those teens who love extreme sports. 

Winter Friends is made with easy pieced blocks and appliquéd snowman.

This fun Christmas wall hanging, The First Noel, is made using appliqué.

Join in the Reindeer Games (left) and make your Christmas wall quilt. Winter Nights (right) is a Block of the Month that will keep you indoors where it’s warm and cozy.

Santa Claus Lane is a festive and jolly Christmas wall hanging using fusible appliqué.

Very Merry is a great pattern for quilters of all levels that looks great in any colorway.

Christmas Sox is a fast and easy fusible web appliqué quilt that's perfect for jelly rolls and stash busters.

Visions of Sugarplums comes to life with this easy to make quilt pattern. The center of the quilt is pieced and the borders are decorated with candy, using fusible webbing appliqué.

Patriotic Skinnies (left) Fusible web appliqué is used to make these bright and patriotic wall quilts. Everyday Skinnies (right) showcase an apple, flowers, and a cupcake.

The quilt Kalidescope uses a fabric line from Moda called "Sunkissed." The blocks are all half square triangles, and one of the first blocks she learned to do as a beginning quilter. She's made this quilt in many different colorways. 

Enjoy a day on the coast anytime with this fusible appliqué wall hanging, Starfish Cove.

Breezy is a fun quilt to make, combining classic pinwheels and fun polka-dots made with raw edge appliqué.

Ribbon Candy is a jelly roll friendly quilt that is easy to make. It's perfect as a scrap quilt and a great quilt for beginners and quilters of all levels.

Freedom is an easy pieced and appliqué quilt. The flags are pieced and the stars are appliquéd with fusible web.

Fun in the Sun celebrates summertime and is fast and easy to make. The pieced blocks are just right for using up colorful scraps we all have and the flip flops are appliquéd using the fusible web method.

Anchors Away is a fun and easy nautical quilt.

This simple quilt showcases different fabrics. 

Margie made many different wall hangings and mini quilts from a single panel.

Margie was asked to do some online tutorials for Craft University last summer, and they wanted something done with panels. Margie made many different things from a single fabric panel called "Sunday Ride" by Bernatex. She made a picnic blanket, some drawstring bags, and a paper plate holder. 

Margie was invited by Craftsy to teach some lessons on fusible appliqué online. They wanted her to do something seasonal, so she made these table runners. 

As part of the lessons, Margie also made a quilt showcasing all four table runner designs and all different seasons.

This quilt is perfect for Valentine's Day. 

These were also made from a panel, from the Susybee fabric line Lewe, the Ewe for Quiltmaker magazine. She made a quilt, pillow, and wallhanging from a single panel. 

This is a quilt Margie made for little boys that she designed really quickly. 

This quilt was in the American Patchwork & Quilting calendar for 2013 for the month of June. Margie had fun doing something a bit more challenging, and working with the batik fabrics.

Going to the Moon was another quilt Margie made for Quiltmaker magazine.

Spring Morning is a block of the month quilt pattern that uses fun fusible web images and traditional blocks to celebrate Spring. There is a wall hanging, table runner, and a mini quilt included in the pattern. 

Spring Skinnies (left) are a fast and easy project for quilters of all levels. Each image is stripped pieced so you can use scraps from your stash to create a fun holiday treat for you or a gift for a friend. Spring Fling Seasonal Skinnies (right) are also super fast and easy to make. 

Whether you use soft pastels or bright and bold fabrics, Sassafras is the quilt pattern for you. It's Layer Cake friendly and whips up in no time at all. The flowers are appliquéd using fusible webbing. This is a great pattern for beginners or any level of quilter that would like to have a quick and easy project.
