Show and Tell
Our first Show & Tell of 2016 was a great one. We appreciate the 10 ladies who were willing to show us what they have been working on. We hope that all of you will be brave enough to bring your quilts as you finish them throughout the year and share them with us!

First up was Linda Rehart. She showed us two quilts. The first one was a quilt for her husband’s teddy bear/doll cradle. She used Wanda’s mystery challenge for this quilt. Her second quilt was her version of Helen’s red and white challenge from last year-but hers turned out to be more pink and white.  Her pattern was loosely based on a quilt made by a dear friend, who ended up battling cancer, so the pink and white was appropriate.

Second was Margaret Gray. Her quilt was called Tranquil Lake. It was a class kit from Quiltfest by Cynthia England. She completed it on December 22nd.

Third up was AnnaRae McAllister. Her quilt was called Sunshine and Shadows. It was made with yellows, grays, and white. It was a mystery quilt class taught by Yvonne Glen using a Hollywood Square pattern. It is for her son and his wife.

Number four to present was Karin Crawford. She called her Christmas quilt “Believe.” It was an American Quilting block of the month class. It was machine pieced and quilted. Karin also showed us her Hawaiian Ladies quilt. It was fabric folded dresses with an appliqued border.

Next was Elise Larsen whose quilt was called Secrets and Shadows. It was a block of the month class. She also showed us a quilt called Underground Railway.

Sixth to present was Leslie Randle. Her baby flannel quilt with “tag” edges was called Ninja Turtles.

Number seven was Allison Babcock. She showed us four flower petal pillow covers. She made several pillows with felt flowers for her sisters-in-law for Christmas. She claims they are “easy peasy, one day projects.” There were some requests for her to do a class on them at the July Fair, so maybe we’ll get the chance to see how easy they really are J

Presenter number eight was Carol Ford. Her quilt was called Wild Winter. It was a winter theme of animals and birds that live in the mountains around her home.

Next up was Dee DeHart.  She found the pattern for her quilt in a magazine. It used black and bright colors all of which she had in her stash.

Our final presenter was Francine Berrett. Her pattern was called Art to Heart and was a Santa hat chair back cover. She also showed us a Merry door hanger with a cute Santa on it.

Barbara Murdock Past President Trunk Show

Barbara finished out her presidential reign by treating us to wonderful trunk show of quilts.

Barbara invited her sister,  Bonnie Crysdale of Moab to join her. We
enjoyed seeing a multitude of quilts made by these talented sisters
