April Show and Tell

We had some beautiful quilts shown this month:

Barb Murdock made two flannel quilts for charity, one in tans/neutrals, the other in brights.  She also made "Diamonds", a pattern by Bonnie Miles from a class Barb took in Panguitch several years ago.  Diamonds is done in shades of pinks and greens, with a throw pillow and two pillowcases to match - for a granddaughter.
Francine Berrett showed two Quilts of Valor, with one being a strip quilt.  She has been so dedicated to this effort. Thanks, Francine!

Erin Davenport showed an "Asian French Braid" quilt that her mother made and Erin quilted. She made a cute BOM from her bee. She cleverly used the leftovers to make a throw quilt.

Patricia Finley made "Log Cabin" a lap quilt for Charles Bergeron, born this year with red hair in Pittsburg. She included scriptures from Isaiah 61 in the quilt:

Rebecca Hansen showed "Pinwheels in my Garden", a fun spring/summer quilt that her friend started and Rebecca finished.

Mary Killpack displayed three quilts. "Rebecca's giant Dahlia" is a wedding quilt that she made for her granddaughter, Rebecca, in shades of red and cream. Rebecca picked out the fabric and pattern. "Pioneer Picnic" is a wedding quilt for her grandson. It is a strip quilt in shades of brown, tan, blue and green.  "Mortimer Monkey" is another quilt for her "monkey-boy grandson". It is a wall hanging with a machine appliqued monkey.

Margaret Cooper displayed "Fun all Year", a darling quilt of "old-fashioned" children in seasonal scenes.  She used a crayon technique to add color.

Gloria Hartley displayed "Red, White & Blue", a Quilt of Valor made by the Maple Mountain Quilters which she quilted.  Gloria made "Tree of Life" out of greens and white from a pattern that she modified, and "Wind North" a Buggy Barn BOM with stars and houses that uses a variety of colors.

Thanks, ladies for sharing your talents with us!
