September Show and Tell

Once Again, we were treated to the amazing talents of our guild members, way to go, everyone!

"Sweety's Minky" by Dee DeHart - Dee's husband kept stealing the Minky quilt from their daughter's room. Finally, he wouldn't even give it back! She decided to make him one of his own. It was originally supposed to be just green and white, since he is a "turf farmer". He said he wanted other colors - he requested pink and red. That changed the pattern. It's from Anka's Treasure's - Monterey Medallions.
"Shaunna Fields" by Margie Hutchings - This darling pink and blue baby quilt was given to Shaunna Leatham if she would do her hair for 7 weeks. She said she would do it until the end of the year for that quilt! Her name is Glade Young.
"Bryce's Quilt" by Saudra Cindrich - This great plaid quilt was made with Saundra's drawer full of plaid pinwheels. She had asked Bryce if he wanted a quilt previously, but he said "no". He changed his mind though and Saundra can't wait to give it to him!
"Baby Boys Blues and Dots" by AnnaRae McAllister - This darling window pane quilt was made with brown sashing lots of sweet blues, browns, beige, white and pinks. The large blue rick-rack she added to the border really makes it pop.
"Baby Girl Quilt" by AnnaRae McAllister - Another window pane quilt, this time in pinks with fun prairie points in the border. This class was taught at her Bee retreat by Kathy Porter.
"Poppy Quilt" by Tinka Eliason - Tinka made a pink and yellow quilt with poppies for her niece, who has cancer. This sweet baby quilt was made with the scraps.
"Stars and Squares" by Tinka Eliason - Tinka made this gorgeous quilt for herself, she loves pinks and blues.
"Applique Quilt" by Tinka Eliason - This stunning appliqued quilt has amazing stars and beautiful applique - way to go, Tinka!
"Any Witch Way" by MaryJo Roberts - This fun wall hanging (or table topper) has "snail's trails" hats and 4 witch faces in it. It is the first project she got completed before the holiday, usually she is a couple of weeks late! Good for you, Mary Jo!
"Please don't eat the Daisies" by Lynette Rose - This stunning quilt features log cabin daisies in blues and yellows. It is a Jackie Robinson pattern. Wow!
"Lois' Beauty" by Jean Jackson - This quilt was made by Jean's darling 84 year old friend. Jean had taken her some soups to freeze for dinners and this was the beautiful gift she received for her efforts.
"Brights" by Jean Jackson - This beautiful quilt was made with Kaffe Fassett fabrics that she got at Whimsy Cottage. The bright colors are arranged in graduating colors which give it almost a trellis look.
"Stars and Borders" by Eric Johnson - Eric works with Debbie Nielsen at Deseret Book. He told her what he wanted and they designed this amazing quilt. The stars are all paper-pieced. 5 pointed stars with sashing and borders. Wow - we had a man at show and tell - good for you, Eric!
"Shannon's Quilt" by Shirley Griffiths - This was a wall-hanging pattern, enlarged to this big, gorgeous quilt. These are her granddaughter's wedding colors, this is her wedding gift, lucky girl! Shirley loves the "Carpenter's Wheel" block. She is still going to make a wall-hanging for herself! Machine quilted by Virginia Gore.
"Spring Garden" by Jill Cox - This darling quilt was made for a friend's daughters room, which is lime green. The bright colors of the flowers, bees and butterflies, will be perfect! Quilt pieced by Jill and Denise Austin, quilted by Kim Peterson.
"Blooming Flowers" by Lela Aston - Appliqued flowers on a background of small yellow, beige and green squares. There are lots of fabulous flowers in this amazing quilt! The bright, piano key border is so when you wake up under it, your day will be bright!
This beautiful quilt by Barbara Bishop will be given as a wedding gift soon. What a lucky bride and groom.
