June Meeting- The Culture of Quilting

June's meeting was a Round Robin--
Four wonderful classes taught by 4 of our amazingly talented guild members.

Saundra Cindrich demonstrated English Paper Piecing
(look at the border on the quilt--the flowers are made of English Paper Pieced petals).

Francine Berrett demonstrated Hawaiian quilt making, an art she learned years ago from a dear friend while living in Hawaii.

Sharon Wright taught her method of Celtic Applique'
that she uses often to embellish borders on her quilts
(The pictures really don't do it justice,
but you can click on them to make them larger to get a better idea).
Megan Legas and Ella Simons taught a new technique for hand quilting. Megan also showed a handy dandy trick to make quilting edges easier.
Thanks to our wonderful teachers and the program committee.
What a fun way to be introduced to new or different ideas.
