This year we will be sewing lap quilts for the Provo Canyon School in Springville. This school has just opened a new wing that will treat children from 8 yrs. to 14 with behavioral problems. These children will reside at the school until their treatment is completed. We will be enveloping these quilts in the morning of our session and the teachers will help the children tie the quilts when they are received. In the afternoon we will do part two of our project. We will be sewing simple pillows for Breast Cancer survivors. The pattern will be on the UVQG website for those who would like to make them at home. They can be made of flannel or cotton fabrics.
Please bring your sewing machine, scissors and white, pink and tan thread if you wish to sew. We will have pillows to stuff and hand sew closed for those of you who wish to do those tasks.
Once again we will be enjoying a wonderful potluck luncheon. Please bring your favorite salad, soup, rolls or dessert.
If you cannot attend our event, and wish to receive a quilt kit or pillow kit, please call me and I will make one available to you (801) 798-7495.
Thanks so much for your efforts in making this another successful and very worthwhile project.
