"Memory Quilt" by Kathy Russell - Kathy made this meaningful quilt for her son's best friend's mother. This young man died in Afghanistan in March. It is made up of his t-shirts and uniforms. The blue and gold sashing represents all of the fallen soldiers that he joins. The label will read: "Dear Mom, here's a hug from me to you, Love Nigel". What a beautiful gift, Kathy! (She made two - one for his mom and one for his sister)
"Hope" by Kendra Hall - This darling quilt was started in 1999, it began as a UVQG Block of the Month. Kendra was in the hospital having a stem cell transplant at the time and she didn't fell too well afterwards, so it got put away. She added some other blocks and some buttons from her childhood clothing and finished it for the UFO challenge! Way to Go, Kendra!
"Chinese Quilt" brought by Francine Berrett - Francine brought this amazing quilt that her daughter purchased at the Great Wall of China for $12!!!! It is red & Navy and has lots of Chinese symbols to bless the owner: Dragon - national symbol of power & strength. Panda - identifies country of China. Frog - stands for prosperity. Butterfly - refers to long life and beauty.Rooster - stands for bravery & industry. Small polliwogs on the back - thanks for sharing, Francine.
"Wild Flowers" by Francine Berrett - This beautiful quilt is Francine's original design and she will be teaching it as a class at Quilt Festival in October! She says she will teach you to hand applique in just a few days!
"Henny Penny Quilt" by Ann Marie Jackson - This cute wall hanging is for Ann Marie's 'chicken kitchen' - she taught it in her Relief Society - great job!
"William's Wedding Quilt" by Margaret Gray - Margaret found this great pattern on Fabshophop.com, the block in 'blockbase'. Her son, likes reds and she made him this quilt for his wedding last weekend. It has a silk batt.
"Carly's Wedding Quilt" by Margaret Gray - This one is for Margaret's new daughter-in-law, Carly. It is made with various batiks, the pattern is an Indian Hatchet Autograph. She had made a similar quilt for a co-worker and Carly really liked it, so she whipped one out for her! Amazing, Margaret!
"Kalissa's Quilt" by Janet Carpenter - This quilt is made with blue log cabin stars with original appliqued fairies and reptiles - a request from a granddaughter. It is amazing!!
"Ellie Rose' Quilt" by Janet Carpenter - This cute bright log cabin quilt also has original appliqued fairies. She made it for her husband's cousin who has MS and is dying - so she is unable to make a quilt to give to her daughter. What a wonderful gift, Janet.

"Friends in the Making" by Vicki Andersen - Vicki started this quilt at the UVQG Aspen Grove Retreat in 2006. It was a Morgensen's kit. It has beautiful applique and colors. It is her 3rd quilt that she started, but her 5th one finished. She finished it for a project for grad school and now she has a lovely quilt and a graduate degree! Congrats, Vicki!
"Hearts in Stars" by Lela Aston - Lela used scraps in this lovely quilt too. It is her original pattern with a scrap strip sashing and wild stars blocks - wow!
"Scrap Happy Garden" by Lela Aston - Lela is using up her scraps and she made this darling quilt with flowers in pots all around the borders! The strip blocks in the middle are made up of her leftovers from 'piano key' borders. - Great job, Lela!
"Tanner's Star" by Bonnie Miles - This stunning quilt was made for her grandson, Tanner for his marriage to Lindsay on June 18th. They wanted something purple, but she threw in a bit of lime, black and sage green. Wren Woodland quilted this beauty.
