Brenda Sommers showed a baby quilt and a twin sized quilt she made from the Bright Block Exchange she participated in.
Machelle Preston showed us the Lori Holt Block of the Month quilt that she will be offering. Check with Machelle for details if you would like to participate.
Debbie Parker has made this large 9 patch bed quilt with the fun flower applique and also has been busy making doll quilts for her grandkids.

Allison Babcock made this quilt called Wheel of Fortune using the paper piecing method

Deon Stott showed her Sheep Shape quilts the one on the left was featured on the cover of Quiltmaker Magazine last year. She will be teaching this at Quilt Fest.

| Shirley Olsen showed her quilt Road to Oklahoma which she started many years ago at a Knotts workshop. She finally finished machine quilting it this last April and she is excited to have a red, white, and blue quilt for the summer. |
Janet Hansen made two wonderful quilts for her grandchildren's graduations They feature their names and school mascots and are done in the school colors
Marie Haws showed her 3-D Quilt Space Crystal which she will be teaching at Quilt Fest in September.

June Meeting
Our June meeting featured Ben Behunin local pottery artist and author. He makes beautiful artwork and writes wonderful books. He shared his story and was very inspiring.
Bonnie Miles shared two more scrap quilt patterns.
Show and Tell

Walsh showed off a 30’s Sunbonnet Sue. The Sunbonnet Sue blocks were made by a
woman from California. Barbara set them using fabrics only from her stash |
Next, AnnaRae McAllister showed off a Modified Pinwheel
Quilt. She bought the pattern at Fabric Mill, but can’t remember the name of
it! We still loved it. It is peach, gray, yellow, light green, and dark gray
with white background and black sashing. The quilting was done by Darcia
Pinette.
Rebecca Hansen first showed off a bag she made after last
month’s “It’s in the Bag” forum. She then told us about her next project. She
took a class at the Ruby’s retreat from Saundra Cindrick and learned how to make
Dresden Plates. Three years later, she saw a pattern she liked in the McCall’s
Quilting Magazine. Then, last year she fell in love with the Moda line
“Pretempts.” She put all 3 together and now has a beautiful Dresden Plate
quilt.
Margaret Gray has been very busy. She showed of 3 projects!
(And she works full time, too!) First, she showed us her completed queen sized
red and white quilt as part of this year’s challenge. She also completed her mystery quilt from
Quilt Fest 2014 where she had snow-dyed the fabric. Last, she showed us the top
of the “My Heart Challenge” for Quilt Fest 2015, who which she will add a leaf
soon.
Karlene
Riggs showed off a fun quilt from the Lori Holt Farm Girl Book Haystack Quilt.
It had lots of fun, bright fabrics
Patricia Finley showed us a fun mini quilt she titled
“Fantasy Tree.”
Francine Berrett showed us a beautiful table runner she
called “Spring Table Runner” made from spring colors and hand dyed fabric for
the flowers. She will be teaching this as a class at Quilt Fest 2015. She then
showed off a quilt called “Falling Leaves” made with yellow and read. She used
ALL of each fat quarter with nothing to spare!
Helen Butler brought this lovely Blue & White quilt. The
two-tone blue and white quilt is made out of many orphan blocks and half square
triangles rescued from the trash can! There was no pattern, she just worked out
the measurements and filled in empty spaces with sashing. It is made
completely from her stash.
Next up was Debbie Parker who has been pretty busy and showed off three fun projects. First was a sunbonnet Sue pink baby quilt. She then had a sports themed baby boy quilt. Her last quilt she calls “Murphy’s Law” brights quilt because anything that could go wrong went wrong while working on it. Even still, it is a fun colorful quilt.
Last up was Allison Babcock who brought a Cathedrals Windows
Pillow. She took a class at Quilt Fest 2014 last year to learn the technique
and to make it by machine instead of by hand. She wanted an updated modern
feel, so she used gray background fabric with bright colors for the “windows.”
