August Meeting featuring Kaye Evans and Cindy Hutchinson

Davidene had a display  table of fun classes coming at the guilds annual retreat.

                       We've gained a new member, Pam Taylor from Orem, Welcome Pam !

Bonnie and Debbie showed off this months scrap quilts and handed out the instructions. Aren't these stunning!

Kaye Evans, on the right in this picture, brought many of her beautiful quilts and taught us her methods of picking the right color combinations. Her quilts were so beautiful it's evident she really knows what she's talking about.

Cindy Huchinson , pictured below, brought several floor quilts for us to see. Cindy explained that she starts with floor linoleum which she primes and paints on the wrong side. She then adds the fabric motifs she has fussy cut from yardage and mod podges it to the painted side. It is then sealed with several layers of sealant. She showed several varieties featuring holiday and seasonal themes as well everyday styles. Cindy uses them all over her house as well as on her porch. Bonnie has planned to have Cindy teach a class next month and over 30 members signed up.

July Fair

July Fair was a great success this year!

The classes were great and very well attended everyone enjoyed spending a relaxing day .

The garage sale always attracts a lot of bargain hunters and they weren't disappointed.

The vendors were there with all sorts of fun things to show off and tempt us all with.

The silent auction offered many treasures to add to our stash of all things quilters love.

 Utah Quilt Guild had a display to show off upcoming classes at this years Quilt fest.
