Utah Valley Quilt Guild Meeting
October 16, 2013
The Forum was taught by Francine Berrett: 25 Fun Quilting Tips and Tools for the Trade. My favorite tool was the electric mustache trimmer (from Wal Mart for approx, $12.00). Thank you, Francine for a lot of great tips.

Show and Tell
Taz by Francine Berrett
Class was taken at Quilt Fest, taught by Kathy Porter. Taz is my son-in-law's dog that died. He is looking for jack rabbits running across the New Mexico desert.
Ice Cream Cones by Suzanne Hillestad
The pattern is paper-pieced and from a Project Linus pattern. This one is made for the Festival of Trees auction.
Angela's Quilt by Shirley Olsen
This burgundy and green appliqued quilt is a queen size bedspread for my daughter, Angela. This quilt was started about 12 years ago and was finally finished this September. This quilt won the Best Theme Quilt Award at the 2013 Utah Quilt Guild Quilt Fest.
Tulip Log Cabin by Delores Despain
This scrappy quilt was made as a result of my Bee Group exchange of 2 and 1/2 inch strips.
Raven's Quilt by Liz Laney
Raven was born at 25 and 1/2 weeks and has spent 8 months in the hospital. Raven is now home - miracles do happen. She is my great-granddaughter. She was born on election night while I was up at the quilt retreat in Park City.
I started the quilt that night.
Sweets by Francine Berrett
This is a Festival of Trees donation.
Amy Bradley Beach Babes by Marlene Cook
This quilt was customized to look like myself and my sisters at the beach in swim suits.
Julie Popa and Own Design quilts by Megan and Wanda Sump
These two darling quilts made from Riley Blake fabrics were designed and made for the Festival of Trees auction.
Pennsylvania Dutch Delight by Karin Crawford
This hand appliqued quilt was a fun project started in 2010 and completed in 2013. La Reesa Baldwin quilted it on her long arm machine.
